1992 Lexus ES300 Trans Swap

I have a LExus ES300 that has a transmission that is going out on me. I see that the Camry from the same years uses the same trans in the V6. Is it possible to swap in a 1992-1994 Camry trans into the ES300?

I can't think of any reason why not. The transmissions for either 1MZFE or 3vzfe should be the same in a Toyota or Lexus, except for minor bracket differences or whatever owing to differences in the engine bay or firewall shapes. However, I've not done such a swap so can't speak from experience.

Hi, Panama Mike with a 1994 Lexus ES300 V6. The transmission takes 15 minutes to go into drive when started in the morning. It goes into reverse immediately but not drive. This has been happening for (believe it or not) four (4) years and you would think in this time it would just fail, but it hasn't. Could it be an electrical problem? Any help would be appreciated.
