Opinion on after market timing belt and part

I have a 01 double cab 3.4 4x4 with 188,000 miles. I'm preparing to complete my second timing belt and water pump service. I completed the first in 07 and remember hearing a lot of negative opinions about using after market parts, so I went with factory Toyota replacements. I was curious to know if any of those opinions have changed, and if so, what vendor did you purchase your parts from? I don't mind paying extra for quality parts, but if there are better, more economical options out there I'd like to know about them. I'm looking to replace the following; All drive belts, timing belt and idler pulleys, cam seals and water pump.

Thanks,

Chris

I'd still stick w/ OEM parts, you'll know they'll fit the first time.

I've been eyeing the LC engineering kit for my 04 with 70k. I just bought the truck and this will be one of the first projects I do on it. FWIW I used an aftermarket steel guide kit on my 94 22re about 30k miles ago and no issues to report. Would like to see more feedback on this topic as well.

Go to aircabinman at ebay motors he sells complete kits or any combination of parts you want. I've purchased complete kits before, all factory parts at great prices, just what you want to do a total job. Don't scrimp on parts at these prices for this critical service.
